Crystal & Orry
Cutest couple ever.
Pretty much sums these two up. I was thrilled to go on an adventure around the city with Crystal and Orry. I haven't seen them much since highschool, and it was great to catch up and laugh for a couple hours. I received a message from them not long after saying, "Shawnee we had so much fun today! Thanks for handling our awkwardness so well." Haha
Dear Crystal and Orry,
You two are awesome and I had a blast working with you. Take care, and I hope to see you again soon!

Summer Slump
I have been lacking in inspiration lately, and not shooting much. My new roommate Sara is helping to push me along though. Here are some shots of her from an adventure we took on the 4th of July.

Nude Photos of Celebrities
Here are some pictures of my friends band Nude Photos of Celebrities from their show at the National the other night. They rule, and make me smile tremendous amounts during their sets. Check them out at a local show in Richmond soon!

Wedding with Jamie Parker
I had the good fortune of assisting Jamie Parker with one of her weddings on the 2nd. She was a blast to work with, and the couple was just adorable. It was nice to be a second shooter, and have a change of pace. I hope to work with her again soon :) Please check out her blog on my links to the right!

Surface Project
This is the last project I did for surface class. I created sugar glass by boiling sugar, water, and corn syrup and then pouring it out onto greased aluminum foil to harden. I then printed a picture onto transparencies, cut them out, and affixed them to the back of the sugar glass. They were displayed on a light table with the lights in the room turned off.

VPPA Spring Seminar
The VPPA Spring Seminar was this weekend in Richmond, which was just a short drive across town. I attended an outdoor portraiture lecture by Tim Talley, which was quite fun and educational. I'm so very happy that I decided to go to Sandy Puc's program G.I.V.E. She is such and inspirational person, and a model business woman. Sandy made me realize that I can do so much more to help my community, and has inspired me to take my business to the next level. Thank you so much Sandy, for your wonderful advice :)

Contrast and Contradictions
This picture was kind of taken on a whim. We were visiting Josh's parents for the weekend, and had all of our lighting equipment with us (we had photographed Hampton University's Freshman Ball the night before). This idea just kind of popped into my head, and Kayleigh being the amazing model she is, was all for it. This was one of the pictures that I ended up editing.
